We founded UrbaHive in 2025 to change that equation: the same methodological rigor, the same modeling power, but within reach of an SME or a mid-market company.
Our story
UrbaHive was born in 2025 from the meeting of Frédéric Le Bris (co-founder), an enterprise architect for over twenty years, with a team of engineers from collaborative SaaS. The starting point: the dominant tools — LeanIX, Ardoq, Hopex, Bizzdesign — are technically remarkable but designed for organizations with thousands of IT users, multi-month sales cycles, and pricing that puts EA out of reach for companies under 2,000 employees.
Yet these are precisely the companies that need it most today: under regulatory pressure (NIS2, DORA), engaged in complex cloud migrations, facing shadow IT that costs them dearly.
Our mission
Empower every CIO, architect, and IT project manager to map their IT estate as a team, in weeks, without heavy training and without committing six figures of annual budget. We believe map quality is less about notation richness than data freshness — and freshness only comes from collaboration.

Methodological rigor
We stay true to the standards (ArchiMate, TOGAF) because they encapsulate 30 years of best practice. But we make them accessible: no forced jargon, no certification prerequisite.

Every feature is designed from the real constraints of an IT team of 5 to 50 people: limited time, calibrated budget, deliverables expected for the next steering committee.
